My Time With Heidi and Jack

Hello, everyone!  I wanted to share with you a little more news about my travels. I was in Baton Rouge. Don't worry, I was gone before hurricane Isaac came through! Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana. LSU (Louisiana State University) is the big college down there. They are the LSU Tigers. There is a real live tiger - Mike the Tiger. Mike is the mascot. It was very hot the day we went to see him, so he was inside his shelter instead of outside in his beautiful habitat... I didn't get a chance to see him.

Louisiana is known for it's good food and for Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is a huge party. It means "Fat Tuesday" in French. It is a gigantic party  each year in New Orleans and other cities in Louisiana. I had a really fun time. This picture is taken in front of the LSU football stadium. The stadium can hold over 100 thousand people!

This was a picture taken of me with a bronze statue of LSU's mascot-Mike the Tiger. You can see his beautiful home/habitat in the background. It was too hot for him to be outside- even in his pond. I couldn't get a picture with him, but I did find his statue. Heidi and Jack, who go to Woodcrest, are in this photo with their cousin, Allie, who lives in Baton Rouge.

Heidi and Jack's mom is a flight attendant and she is taking me to New York! I will be in touch soon!
Oh...when you see Heidi and Jack at school, thank them for taking great care of me.

My Summer Adventure

Boys and girls I spent the summer with our classmate Mikey in his new home in Rhode Island.  I had a great time!  I heard we have new friends in our classroom. I look forward to meeting you. I hope you will enjoy learning about all the places I will visit.

During my time with Mikey and his family, friends from our school came to visit.  Their names are Jack and Heidi.  They took me on their travels to visit their grandparents.  Take a look at the pictures and see all the things I got to see.

Here I am with Mikey and his brothers and sister.

My traveling really started picking up when I went with Jack and Heidi! I had a fabulous time in Lexington, Kentucky. The beautiful building you see behind me is actually a horse barn! They really love horses here - especially race horses!

Ok, so here is a picture of me on a nice piece of art. This horse was made from wood and metal. Kentucky is known for producing the fastest horses in the world.  Some people think that because of all the limestone the Kentucky Blue Grass is mineral rich with Limestone and that contributes to healthy horses. The grass isn't actually blue, but the horses love to munch on it.

Hey, everyone! I went to Keenland Race Track in Lexington, Kentucky. Looks like I found a statue of a jockey!
